Hakimpet is a village in Medchal District in Telangana. It falls under Shamirpetmandal. It is located near to Rajiv Rahadari Highway. Hakimpet is 15 kilometers from Secunderabad Railway Station. Hakimpet has an Indian air force base and an Indian Army base camp. Hakimpet AFS was used during the Second World War as a transit airfield by the Royal Air Force. The Nizam of Hyderabad never acceded power following Indian independence until after Operation Polo, Hakimpet AFS fell into disuse. Hakim AFS was elevated to ‘Air Force Station’ status in December 1984. It also has offices of the Central Industrial Security Force and the National Industrial Security Force. Hakimpet has two schools which are the Little Gems School and the Ashwini Grammar High School.

Some of the areas around Hakimpet are DeenDayal Nagar, Hafiz Baba Nagar and Paramount Hills. Hakimpet is well connected by TSRTC buses with a bus depot present in the area. The buses ply to all the prominent parts of the city.
