NAIGAON OVERVIEW
Naigaon, a neighbourhood of Vasai-Virar, lies in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was earlier a part of
the Thane district, but now it is considered under the Palghar district. It’s unbelievable the
transition from the village it earlier was to today’s drastic development. Located about 39 kms
from Mumbai International Airport, Naigaon is governed by the Municipal Corporation of
Vasai-Virar.
It has a railway station situated on the Western Line of the Mumbai suburban railway with the
same name. The Naigaon station lies next to the Bhayandar station on its south and Vasai Road
station on its north. The population in this area are mainly Christians and Hindus who speak
Marathi. There are also many migrants who are majorly Muslims, Hindus and Jains who speak
Gujarati. The languages spoken are East Indian (Valkar), Konkani, Vadval, etc.

west and east sides.

every 3 to 5 minutes, starting from Virar-Churchgate and Churchgate-Virar.
