- Keep packing supplies ready: cardboard boxes, bubble wraps, tapes, etc.
- Inform movers about heavy, light, or fragile items beforehand.
- Plan and prepare at least 30 days in advance to avoid chaos.
- Declutter: Sell or donate unwanted items before the move.
- Color-code boxes and label them clearly with contents.
- Pack one room at a time and label accordingly for easier unloading.
- Clean appliances (e.g., fridge) with vinegar to avoid odor.
- Do not place breakables in drawers — use separate "fragile" boxes.
- Keep essential items (like medicines/documents) easily accessible.
- Do not overpack boxes — they should be easy to seal and carry.
- Use scarves/newspapers as cushioning for delicate items.
- Give special instructions to movers if you have pets.
- Maintain a checklist or inventory of all packed items.
- Label boxes "load last, unload first" for priority unpacking.
- Place heavy items at the bottom and light ones on top (limit weight to 22kg per box).
