Sinhgad Road near the Katraj-Dehu Road Bypass.
Once a quaint village it derives its name of Vadgaon from "Vad" or Banyan trees due to a vast
number of banyan trees in this region. It was a very small village till 1990 with farming being
main economic activity,. Due to the catchment area in western hills made the area conducive for
farming with fertile soil and sufficient water for farming.
