Motibagh Overview

Moti Bagh is a residential layout founded by ‘Arakpur Mochi’. Situated on the suburbs of Chanakyapuri. Motibagh owes its nomenclature to a bagh (garden) and name of the locality called - Arakpur Bagh Mochi. Till late 1960s, Moti Bagh was all agricultural land with very few houses.

Now, the area is a popular layout of South Delhi, a prestigious location and is maintained by the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC). It is geographically divided into North Moti Bagh and South Moti Bagh. Moti Bagh found its urbanization way back in 1970s and now has a posh neighbourhood with lush green trees and parks. Motibagh is also home to many high ranked government officials, civil servants, members and Chairman of the Railway Board. With its proximity to the prime locations of Delhi like Arjun Vihar, Sarojini Nagar and to many important universities and colleges, make Moti Bagh a great place to live.

Connectivity

Moti Bagh is well connected to all prominent places of Delhi. It has a good connectivity from Indira Gandhi International Airport and AIIMS.
The Safdarjung Airport is the nearest at a distance of 16 kilometres.
Dhaula Kuan metro station is the nearest metro station. The Moti Bagh metro station is also under construction and is located on the pink line of the Delhi metro.
