Kandivali formerly known as Khandolee is a locality in the north of Mumbai. Some artifacts found near this locality prove that this area was inhabited around the Stone Age. Now Kandivali is divided into the East and West. Some popular areas to the East are Thakur complex and Thakur Village, Samata Nagar, Lokhandwala Township and Damu Nagar.
