in Marathi, has an age-old history reaching back to the 16th century and was then known as
‘lower Mahim’, owing to its location on the island of Mahim. Changes during the British rule and
the epidemics in Mumbai led to the Dadar-Matunga-Wadala-Sion scheme, during which several

Location
Dadar, in the south of Mumbai city, is a prominent place that is located between Matunga, Wadala,

popularly called Dadar T.T and Dadar B.B respectively. The East and West parts of Dadar are
connected by the famous Lokmanya Tilak bridge which more precisely connects the East and West of
